The exhaust manifold is an indispensable core part of the engine exhaust system. It is installed on the cylinder head to collect exhaust gas from each cylinder and deliver it to the catalytic converter and exhaust pipe. We mainly supply cast iron exhaust manifolds, which are made by integral casting. Featuring excellent high temperature resistance, great rigidity, vibration resistance and air tightness, these products can work stably under 600℃ to 850℃ high temperature. They effectively reduce exhaust resistance, improve engine power and cut down harmful emissions. With low thermal deformation and strong corrosion resistance, our cast iron exhaust manifolds have long service life, and are widely used in gasoline engines, diesel engines of passenger cars, trucks and construction machinery.

Product Overview

The exhaust manifold acts as the first hub of the entire engine exhaust system. Mounted directly on the engine cylinder head, it gathers high-temperature exhaust gas discharged from all cylinders and converges the airflow into a single pipeline, then guides the gas to the catalytic converter and rear exhaust pipe. There are two mainstream types in the market: cast iron manifold and stainless steel tubular manifold. Cast iron exhaust manifold is the most widely used type for ordinary vehicles and engineering equipment. Adopting sand casting or investment casting technology, it is integrally formed with dense internal structure. It can withstand long-term high temperature of 600℃ to 850℃, and adapt to the harsh working conditions of frequent cold and hot alternation and continuous vibration. Qualified exhaust manifolds can ensure smooth exhaust, reduce exhaust resistance and optimize the overall performance of the engine. Once damaged, it will cause gas leakage, abnormal noise, power loss and increased fuel consumption.

Product Advantages

Our cast iron exhaust manifolds have multiple outstanding advantages. Firstly, the integral casting structure brings high rigidity and strong anti-vibration ability, and the thermal expansion coefficient is small, so thermal deformation will not easily occur under alternating cold and hot environment. Secondly, the products have superb high temperature resistance, running reliably under long-term 600℃~850℃ high exhaust temperature. Thirdly, the excellent air tightness effectively prevents exhaust gas leakage, and the dense material structure makes it hard to crack in daily use. In addition, it has strong corrosion resistance against acidic condensate produced by exhaust gas, extending the whole service life. In practical use, stable heat insulation helps the engine warm up quickly and reduce harmful exhaust emissions. Meanwhile, the mature casting process controls the production cost well, making the products suitable for large-scale mass production and bulk procurement for vehicle manufacturers.

Usage & Maintenance Tips

Before installation, please check the appearance of the exhaust manifold to confirm no cracks, deformation or damage. During installation, ensure all connecting surfaces are closely fitted and fasteners are tightened to avoid air leakage. In daily use, regularly inspect the working status. If you hear abnormal noise or find exhaust leakage, please replace the parts in time. Do not start the engine for a long time under overload condition, which will cause excessive temperature and accelerate component aging. Standard use and regular inspection can greatly prolong the service life of the exhaust manifold.

FAQ

Q: What is the maximum working temperature of your cast iron exhaust manifold?

A: It can work continuously under the temperature ranging from 600℃ to 850℃, fully adapting to the normal working temperature of engine exhaust gas.

Q: What problems will happen if the exhaust manifold cracks and leaks gas?

A: Gas leakage will lead to abnormal engine noise, decreased power output and higher fuel consumption during driving.

Q: What vehicles and equipment are this product suitable for?

A: It is widely applied to gasoline engines and diesel engines of passenger cars, trucks and various construction machinery.

Q: Why choose cast iron manifold instead of stainless steel type?

A: Cast iron manifold has lower cost, better rigidity and air tightness, longer service life and stronger adaptability for ordinary vehicles and engineering machinery.
